“Reporter Did Nothing To provoke The Players”

According to CNN, the owner of the NY Jets has apologized to a female TV reporter who was the victim of sexual harassment by Jets personnel.

Ines Sainz, a former Miss Spain who now works for popular Mexican network TV Azteca, told CNN’s Rick Sanchez that Jets owner Woody Johnson called her on Monday to apologize for the team’s inappropriate behavior. She said she accepted his apology.

On Saturday, Sainz tweeted that she was “dying of embarrassment,” after players began hooting and hollering at her and an assistant coach threw footballs at her as she stood on the sideline during a team practice.

“To be quite honest, it didn’t bother me,” said Sainz in an interview with TV Azteca. “I took it as a joke, and none of the footballs actually hit me.”

Then, when she entered the locker room to interview Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, she said she heard players talking about her.

“I try not to hear anything, try not to pay attention. My cameraman told me, ‘Don’t look on the right, don’t look at the left,” she said. “But I really feel the noise and all the environment was talking about me.”

Sainz said that a colleague later told her what the players said about her in the locker room.

Sainz said she thought no more of it until the next day when she learned the incidents were the talk of the NFL.

The NFL says it is investigating the charges of sexual harassment toward Sainz after The Association for Women in Sports Media expressed their concerns. The NFL plans to hold “educational sessions” with the Jets next week.

Sainz should know, if you want to be viewed and respected as a professional on the job, you have to present a “Professional image”.

“Desiree Rogers Is back On The Scene”

Former White House Secretary Desiree Rogers sat front row at fashion week, only this time she wasn’t called back to Washington and she doesn’t have to answer to anybody.

Ms. Rogers is an editor now with Ebony magazine and added: “[My] major goal is to take a look at the trends and just see everything obviously and really to just kind of get to know the scene a little bit better,” she told WWD. “We really are enlarging our space in Ebony in the fashion and beauty segments, so we really want to be current, we want to have the best stuff, we want to be a little edgy, so I’ve got to be here to see everything and meet everybody.”

“Remembering Tupac Shakur”

Today marks the anniversary death of Tupac Shakur.

The West Coast emcee lost his life 14 years ago today after leaving the Mike Tyson – Bruce Seldon boxing match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

My heart was broken when I heard the news.

To commemorate his memory I highlighted his video “Dear Mama”

“Remembering Sept. 11, 2001”

9 years ago today, both towers in the World Trade Center in New York were brought down by cowards who flew hijacked commercial airliners into them. The total number of victims killed were 2973 (including the hijackers).

One of the victims in the South tower, Vice President of Aon Corporation Kevin Cosgrove, 46, made this emotional phone call to 911 in the last moments of his life.

*Please Note: This audio of a dying man’s last words may be too disturbing for some.

“On Dating A Single Parent?? – Not Likely”

I received an email yesterday from a loyal CEO blog reader (who shall remain anonymous) and they wrote this:

“Hey There Tracy”,

“I love your blog and have been a follower for quite sometime now. You don’t talk about dating much I’m sure this part of your private life, you keep separate from your public blog but I’m curious to know, if you would date a single divorcee with child?”

“I’m sure as a single woman like yourself, you can come and go wherever and whenever you want too and you answer to no one. You probably work overtime anytime, hit the happy hour or the gym after work, take weekend trips or long trips and sleep in on weekends. A singles lifestyles and that of married father are like night and day.”

“You clearly have a freedom that most wouldn’t want to give up.”

“So my question to you is, would you date a man with a child or children, I’m curious to know?”

“Some of my friends feel, that single folks should date other singles and single parents should date single parents.”

First off, I never hit-up “Happy Hours” because I don’t drink. I do however, agree with his friends.

Dating a man or hooking up with a man who has children is a turn off for me. Divorced men with children automatically come into the relationship with attached baggage and that’s one responsibility that is beyond my emotional scope of reasoning.

I’ve witnesses a lot of emotional and physical drama from broken relationships where children are involved, and would never wish to subject myself in parts of any of it.

That’s my stance in this situation and on this subject…What are your thoughts, CEO fam? Please share them with me!
