“Jacksons Suing AEG Entertainment”

The Jackson family has launched a “wrongful death” lawsuit against AEG Entertainment.

The family claims that, AEG’S contract with Micheal, created a legal duty for them to act reasonably toward the physical well-being of the late pop star.

The family is also blaming AEG for hiring Dr. Conrad Murray without the proper background check of his credentials and not providing the proper medical equipment to assist in Michael’s well-being.

The attorney who filed the lawsuit on behalf of Micheal Jackson’s family released a statement saying, “The purpose of the lawsuit is to prove to the world the truth about what really happened once and for all”.

Of course the truth will always prevail but most importantly, I’m sure the Jackson family is seeking peace of mind.

I received a gift card in the mail yesterday from a loyal reader.,(who shall remain anonymous). His gift card came along with a CD from “Drake” who is a rapper and a singer I’m told.

This loyal reader wrote the following:

Dear Ms. Tracy,

“I love the new artist “Drake” and his song “Fancy” reminds me of you” “Go ahead, Go ahead, you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh” – “Nails done, hair done, everything done, nails done, hair done, everything done”

Oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, You getting ready so I know we gon be here awhile, in the bathroom flat irons and nail files, spending hours in salons on your hairstyle, in the mall steady racking up all dem air miles”.

“Well aren’t you a breath of fresh air from all these superficial gold digging bitches in here” they get a baller and think that they aint got to pick a career, guess they plan on sucking dicks until some millions appear”

“I met you at a book event in CT and then again in NY and checked out how your style was tight, your hair and nails be done and you greeted me with your smile, make it so bad, you can take it up or bring it down…. Damn I think you bad!” “Damn I think you fine” “You had this brief case on wheels and I wanted to cop a feel”.

“I hope you enjoy the CD and know that reading your blog is like an inside look into your life and mind”

I never heard of this artist Drake, nor do I listen to his music and while I’m on the subject; I don’t listen to T.I., Swizz Beatz, Sean Combs, Neyo, Lil Wayne, Shawty Low, Soldier Boy, Kanye West, Lady Gaga and any other new rap artist out today.

It is understandable how I might be viewed and superficially perceived, however the core of my being is so much more than my fancy (i.e.,hair and nails).

In addition, the foul and profane language of the lyrics in this CD are both degrading and extremely disrespectful. 

But thank you reader, the thought was sweet, your heart was in the right place and the gift card commendable; but trust and believe, my qualities are extreme and far more meaningful than you are able to see.

“Precious Star Covers ELLE Magazine”

Gabourey Sibide covers the October issue of ELLE magazine however critics are complaining that the cover was Photo-shopped in order to make Gabby look lighter.

But a writer regarding the cover photo went on to say this; “cropping Sidibe’s cover photo so close” in order to hide her full-figured body, which the writer called a “travesty” is a bit over the top.

“There’s something off in Sidibe’s cover photo. Sidibe’s skin is noticeably lighter than usual. Elle clearly couldn’t handle Sidibe’s real skin color, and traded away her actual color for something dramatically lighter.”

I guess the dark skin and full figure woman is still an ignorant issue that writers like myself still need to address. I vehemently dispel the ignorance that keeps us prejudice as a unique race of people, with a coalition of color.

If a full figure European woman can make the covers of magazines every day, let’s celebrate the fact that a full-figured young black woman can as well.

“He Was Fired from His Job at NJ Transit”

Because he torched a Qur’an while off-duty according to the NY Daily News.

Derek Fenton, 39, tore pages out of a Qur’an and lit the Muslim Holy book on fire in front of the planned NY mosque near ground zero on the anniversary of Sept. 11.

Fenton told reporters that he was protesting the planned construction of the controversial mosque.

On Monday Fenton learned he was terminated from his job after 11 years at NJ Transit.

“NJ Transit said Fenton was fired but wouldn’t give specifics. “Mr. Fenton’s public actions violated New Jersey Transit’s code of ethics,” an agency statement said.

“NJ Transit concluded that Mr. Fenton violated his trust as a state employee and therefore [he] was dismissed.” [read more]
