“Harassed & Killed while Black” Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

MINNEAPOLIS, MN,- MAY 26: People face off with police near the Minneapolis 3rd Police Precinct.

Two incidents took place this week, one in New York City and the other in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A huge “I can’t breath” rally took place in Minnesota after the death of George Floyd who died in police custody. Four Minneapolis police officers have been fired after a video taken by a bystander was posted on social media showing Floyd’s neck being pinned to the ground by an officer as he repeatedly said, “I can’t breathe”. Floyd was later pronounced dead after being transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. Over 1000 people attended a rally outside the 3rd Precinct Police Station in Minneapolis, Minnesota to protest the death of George Floyd who died in police custody.

Then on Monday in Central Park, Christian Cooper (pictured left above) was bird watching when a white woman (pictured right) made a frantic 911 call on a Black man for asking her to leash her dog. The woman was later fired after the video went viral throughout social media.

How did Black People become the face of CoVid-19 – Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

This week, the U.S. joined nations around the world in instituting sweeping emergency measures to further combat the corona-virus pandemic. In an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, schools and universities are shut down, and concerts and convention centers across the globe have been closed and cancelled. And now public health advocates are saying African Americans are at a greater risk of death from corona virus.

For a whole host of economic, political and historical reasons, Georges C. Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association, says it’s a threat that African Americans need to take particularly seriously.

Corona Virus Reigns, so who’s to blame? Tonight’s Topic on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

In the past three weeks since declaring the corona virus a national emergency, President Donald Trump has delivered a dizzying array of rhetorical contortions, sowed confusion and repeatedly sought to cast blame on others. He has faulted governors for acting too slowly, the democrats by claiming it’s a hoax and China because after-all, it’s their virus.

America is winning its war on corona-virus, the president says — yet the death toll is still rising, and in the best case scenario more Americans will die than in the wars fought in Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan and Iraq combined.

Instead of real leadership from the current administration, all we’re hearing and seeing is a COMMANDER OF CONFUSION!! This president continues to sow uncertainty and seeks to cast blame in the midst of this deadly crisis.

“Mental Health Awareness” Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

“No Respect – Teacher vs. Student” – Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

A Maryland teacher (pictured above), was arrested and booked into the county jail after she was caught on video fighting a student in her classroom.

The teacher, Vivian Noirie, 36, was charged with child abuse and assaulting the student at Largo High School. The fight occurred last Friday, Nov. 15, when the student confronted Noirie after she contacted her parents the day before. Cell phone video footage shows the teacher repeatedly punching and kicking the student, who eventually fights back.

The video is both disgraceful and disturbing. In reviewing the video you couldn’t tell the teacher from the student, although the teacher appears to be dressed for a fight.

After the student is pulled off of the teacher, she can be heard screaming at her and calling her a bitch, as if she were her teachers equal. Where should the lines be drawn? Where is the RESPECT?
