To Vote or NOT to Vote w/Dr. Malik Shabazz on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

donald-trump-hillary-clinton-550x317Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are in a dead heat with just six days left until a major general election, according to a new poll. The candidates are tied, each with 46% of the likely voters, according to the latest ABC News/Washington Post, released Wednesday. Yet neither candidate are discussing real issues, instead they are on the attack criticizing each other; Clinton on Trumps disregard for women and Trump regarding Clinton’s emails and Bill’s indiscretions. The attacks are on each others characters, while some voters are reluctant in casting their vote for either candidate…deciding instead NOT TO VOTE AT ALL !!

All this and other issues – such as Clinton’s use of a private email system in defiance of government rules while she was secretary of state, and Trump’s obsession with responding to slights and criticism – have caused the character of both Clinton and Trump to be called into question day after day.

So in the midst of this public circus, with most American voters turned off by both candidates not focusing on real issues, the question most Americans are struggling with is; “To Vote or NOT to Vote?”

We’ll explore the “Casual Killing Act of blacks” on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

attachIs Justifiable Homicide the Modern Day “Casual Killing Of Slaves”?

When you think about Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant, Sean Bell, Philandro Decastro, Terrance Crutcher, Alton Sterling, Keith Lamont, Sandra Bland, Yvette Smith and so many other black men and women who were unjustifiably murdered under the guise of “justifiable homicide” by police, the numbers are alarming.

Unfortunately, not a year goes by without a news report of some young man or woman dying at the hands of police (or someone who acts as if they are the police). Usually, these cases are polarized by the factor of race.

Join me tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST on “Conversations Of A Sistah” with my special guest, community activist and New Era leader Keith Horton” (pictured left above), as we explore the “Casual Killing Act of blacks” then and now.

How the Media Influence Our Choices? On the Next “Conversations Of A Sistah”

untitledWe have to admit the media has a lot of influence on our lives, especially the lives of our young people. They want to mimic the Rhianna’s, Nicky Minaj and Beyoncé’s of this world. They esteem these artist as having the acceptable standards of beauty based upon how they are received by society and the industries who market them.

And then there’s the media’s depiction of beauty and the influence it feeds to the images on television, social media and the internet. The messages are subliminal but the images are powerful. They want to influence how we look, how we feel, what we eat, how we spend our money and even how to invest our time on a daily basis. The repetition is deliberate and can warp one’s perspective of the truth.

Join me tonight for this discussion on “Conversations Of A Sistah” at 6:30 p.m. EST. on Blog Talk Radio. In the meantime, sound off here and I’ll see you on the air!

The State Of Black America w/Dr. Malik Shabazz on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

With the number of African American men and women who have been gunned down and murdered at the hands of police, sparking civil demonstrations and civil unrest throughout the country, we are no doubt in racial disparity.

In the last five (5) years under the Barack Obama administration there have been more killings and protest by African Americans since that of the 1960’s and the Civil Rights Era. And since the recent murders of Philandro Decastro, Alton Sterling and host of others, from Ferguson Missouri to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, each and all, were black men or woman who died at the hands of police.

Join Host Tracy L. Bell “LIVE” at 6:30 p.m. EST onConversations Of A Sistahvia blog talk radio with special guest, Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz National President of Black Lawyers For Justice., as she sit down with him to discuss “The state of Black America, Police Brutality and the new Black Panther Party”
