“Happy Holidays To You”

Just wanted to wish my CEO blog family a wonderful holidays season. I’m taking some time away to spend with my family and close friends. You’re family too, so I had to check in to say: Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad and Happy Kwanza.

Eat, drink and be merry but most of all be safe!

“Investment Banker Commits Suicide”

Her name is Jessica Fashano and she was an associate investment banker with Citigroup Financial. The 27-year-old banker, asked for directions to the roof of the 40-story Trump Place tower on the upper West side, a police source said.

“They have video showing her by herself; she goes out onto the roof and she jumped” the source said.

It remains a mystery why she chose to end her life on Saturday morning and why she chose the Riverside Blvd. building to do so.

Citigroup officials said in a statement Sunday. “Our thoughts are with her family at this time.”

As Fashano’s parents in her hometown of Morris Plains, N.J., mourned in private, her friends described her on Facebook as a beauty with a big heart.

Sorry for the late post people, I’m on leisure time now. 🙂

“No Homosexual Couples Allowed!”

A Christian hotel denied a gay couple reservations in their hotel and now the hotel is being sued.

The Chymorva Private Hotel in Cornwall, U.K., have a deep christian policy with regard to marriage (being the union of one man to one woman for life to the exclusion of all others). Therefore their accommodations are not available to unmarried couples.

In September 2008, civil partners Steven Preddy and Martyn Hall reserved a double room at the hotel, when the hotel’s manager “realized that the booking had not been made for a heterosexual couple,” their hotel reservation was cancelled, according to a Christian Post article. This policy of their’s have been in effect since the hotel was established in 1986.

The hotel owner’s business, doubles as their home as well as a hotel.

What’s your opinion Ceo readers, does the hotel have a right to decide who stays in their rooms??

“Jets Coach Suspended For The Season”

New York Jets trainer Sal Alosi was suspended without pay for the rest of the 2010 season and fined $25,000 for tripping a Dolphins player on the sideline during a game on Sunday.

Alosi was caught on video sticking out his left knee to trip Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll, who ran out-of-bounds while covering a punt in the third quarter of Miami’s 10-6 win.

Sal, while blinking back fake tears, said on Monday, “I let everybody down yesterday with my actions. My actions were inexcusable and irresponsible.”

“I wasn’t thinking,” Alosi said. “If I could go back and do it again, I sure as heck would take a step back. It was just a situation where I wasn’t thinking.”

Carrol, who broke his right leg twice while playing in high school and college, said he wasn’t angry about the incident.

The suspension will begin immediately. General manager Mike Tannenbaum said Alosi will also not be allowed to interact with any players or coaches “as it pertains to his job function.”
