Bill Cosby Served Vanilla Pudding in Jail

Bill Cosby looked despondent in a mew mugshot photo that was taken at a jail near the Montgomery County courthouse in Philadelphia where he was sentenced to 3-10 years in prison.

The 81-year-old was convicted of three counts of drugging and molesting a former Temple University staffer at his home in 2004.
Cosby will spend the next 3 years at a state medical prison facility. He must serve at least 75% of the minimum 3 year sentence before he is eligible for release.

The comedian was reportedly served vanilla pudding on his first evening behind bars, according to The Blast. Cosby was a spokesman for Jell-O brand pudding for many years.

In addition to pudding, Cosby was fed a meal that consisted of a chicken patty with gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and an iced tea juice packet.

His menu will be upgraded when he is moved from jail to a state prison medical facility in Pennsylvania. Cosby is legally blind and he is reportedly in poor health.

60 women came forward to accuse the comedian of drugging and sexually assaulting them over 4 decades.

“Conversations Of A Sistah” Celebrates “6” Years on the air!!! #contestalert

Happy Anniversary to “Conversations Of A Sistah“!!

September 25th commemorates our 6th-year on the air since joining the blog talk radio arena.

As many of you know, the blog talk radio show derived from the title of my autobiography “Conversations Of A Sistah” with Mr. Cyrus Webb of “Conversations Live” as the brain child behind the idea. Since branching off on our own we’ve been gifted with the ability to be creative in our form and a bit more radical with our topic of conversations.

From day 1, my goal was to have bold conversations with true experiences and everyday occurrences, while creating a place and a platform for current conversations.

Today September 25th marks our 6th year Anniversary on the air!!!!!!!

Conversations Of A Sistah first aired on September 25, 2012. And for the first “6” bloggers/and or listeners who can tell me my first “6” show topics in September of that year… will win a free copy of my book “Conversations of A Sistah”

All winners will be announced via this blog on Friday September 28, 2018.

Happy Anniversary to us and “thank you” as always for supporting the show!!!

Bill Cosby Arrives at Courthouse for Sentencing Hearing; Could Face Life in Prison

Bill Cosby arrived at the Montgomery County Courthouse on Monday for a two day sentencing hearing that will decide whether he goes home on probation or spends the rest of his life in prison.

The 81-year-old comedian appeared stoic as he entered the courthouse in Norristown surrounded by police officers.

Cosby was convicted of drugging and indecently assaulting Andrea Constand in his home in 2004. More than 60 women have accused Cosby of drugging assaulting them over 4 decades.

The first day of the sentencing hearing will focus on whether Cosby should be classified as a violent sex offender. He will be sentenced on the second day of the hearing.

Constand (the initial accuser) tweeted a Bible verse ahead of the hearing:

“Be wrathful, but do not sin; do not let the sun set while you are still angry; do not give the Devil an opportunity.”

Cosby’s wife Camille Cosby remains supportive of him. In an earlier statement she accused the judge of being biased against her husband.

“Bill Cosby was not afforded an impartial judge and he did not receive a fair trial,” she said. “Instead, my husband was forced to go to trial before a judge, Steven T. O’Neill, who had a bitter, longstanding feud with one of the key witnesses in the case, Bruce Castor.”

Good Cooking, soul food

Thanksgiving came early

It was a family thing on Sunday as we were invited to this Queens home for dinner. This is always an invitation you don’t want to miss when summons to Queen Mamie’s inner court of kitchen and dining. Why? Because this woman can cook!!!!

Known for her tradition of cooking, she always captures the moment and opportunity to gather family and friends around her table of good fixing which is always prepared to perfection and with love.

Although we witnessed part of the meal prep on Saturday nothing compared to the finishing touches met well with taste. When I tell you Thanksgiving came early, please believe me. The shock of it all was met with delight. There was Turkey, gravy, stuffing (to freaking die for), mac and cheese, corn, okra, cabbage, string beans garnished with garlic, yams, corn bread, rolls and pound cake for dessert.

Now anyone who knows soul food, knows that stuffing a.k.a dressing and mac and cheese is pretty much a standard part of the fixings. But Queen Mamie’s dressing and mac and cheese was stacked and layered like a cake and was mouth watering upon taste.

I have never had dressing the way this woman made her dressing yesterday!! The hint of walnuts chopped fine in the mix toppled with her gravy, had me kissing her hands at the taste of such perfection. Each vegetable danced to its own taste, as her cabbage chopped so fine you would miss it when it was met with her string beans that folded to perfection as the garlic garnished danced on-top.

My mom said yesterday “We are all so blessed” knowing women who use their gifts and talents in the kitchen like Queen Mamie to gather friends and family with the love of food, they so effortlessly cook.

The gathering was lovely, the fellowship was real, now can you imagine what her kitchen is like when Thanksgiving day is actually here?

Hail to the Queen she shines all year!!!
