“The Black Church Speak Out Against President Obama”

On his decision not to defend The Marriage Act

The Rev. Anthony Evans, who heads the National Black Church Initiative — a coalition of 34,000 black churches — is blasting President Barack Obama’s decision to stop defending the The Marriage Act.

The Rev. notes that Obama “has violated the Christian faith” by failing to uphold Jesus’ teaching that marriage is between a man and a woman.

DOMA was signed into law in September, 1996 by then President Bill Clinton. The law is intended to uphold and preserve the sanctity of marriage between a man and woman.

Gays, (and other special interest groups) who make up a substantial portion of the left-wing voting bloc, say the law is unconstitutional. Not surprisingly Obama, who was opposed to gay marriage up until now, all of a sudden agrees with them.

Obama’s new stance has angered the Rev. Evans who says black churches must “reassess their extraordinary support for him.”

Looks like President Obama will not be able to please everyone but he’ll have to take a position and make his position clear.

Anyway, it’s about time “the real church” take a stand against the president’s decision!

“CBS & Warner Bros. Cancels Two And A Half Men”

Charlie Sheen ran his mouth one time too many and now CBS has “pulled the plug” on his show. CBS said in a statement last night:

“Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of ‘Two and a Half Men’ for the remainder of the season.”

This all happened hours after Sheen went on a radio rampage, blasting his bosses at the television show.

Charlie Sheen has some ego!!!! He issued his own statement following CBS’., attacking the show’s creator Chuck Lorre.

“This is a battle and my fans will support me”. “What does this say about Haim Levine [Chuck Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows … I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can’t handle my power and can’t handle the truth”

“I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words — imagine what I would have done with my fire-breathing fists,” Sheen’s statement continued. “I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.”

“Remember these are my people … not yours…we will continue on together,” he added.

Charlie made it abundantly clear he doesn’t believe the show can survive without him.

He concluded “Do what you’ve gotta do — I’ll go make movies with superstars and not work with idiots.”

I wonder how his costars feel? Charlie is a long way from recovering and has a long way to go.

“President Obama Wants To Appease The Gays”

By not addressing this whole gay marriage issue!

Obama said in January that he is still wrestling with whether gay couples should have the right to marry. He said his feelings on the issue continue to evolve but he still believes in allowing strong civil unions.

The Justice Department announced Wednesday that, at Obama’s direction, it would not defend the Defense of Marriage Act in a court case where it’s being challenged.

Spokesman Jay Carney said Obama has always opposed the Defense of Marriage Act as “unnecessary and unfair.” But Carney said there’s no change to how Obama views gay marriage itself.

The President is displaying his compromising spirit on this issue, all because he’s looking to be re-elected in 2012. He’s compromising his integrity by staying quiet on his position regarding gay/same-sex marriage…

The one thing I respected about former President Bush, he stated he was against gay marriage and the lifestyle of homosexuality and didn’t give a damn what people thought about his moral position on the subject.

“Racist Abortion Ad Spark Debate”

An anti-abortion billboard with racist overtones was erected at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Watts Street, three blocks from a Planned Parenthood Clinic, and across the street from a public employees union hall in SoHo, New York.

The ad has sparked outrage among blacks, which is exactly the intention of the marketing company that created this ad campaign.

“Vatican Advisor Says Unmarried Gov. Should Be Rebuked”

It’s no secret that newly elected Gov. Cuomo is shacking up with his girlfriend Sandra Lee, host of the Food Network program “Semi-Homemade Cooking With Sandra Lee.”

And although shacking-up may be the modern-day shortcut, close to masking a solid committment, the vatican adviser Edward Peters says “Cuomo has no business taking communion.”

He told CNSNews that Cuomo, who supports abortion and gay marriage and who is currently shacked up, should be denied Communion if he tries to take the sacrament again “as long as he persists in such conduct.”

Peters zeroed in on the Mass, that Cuomo attended a day after his Jan. 1 inauguration. He received Communion from Bishop Howard Hubbard at the Mass and shouldn’t have, said the advisor.

Bishop Howard Hubbard then praised the Governor for his success, accolades that Peters said “the bishop was wrong for doing so.”

Hubbard’s remarks, he said, constituted “a failure in pastoral care,” largely for what he “did not say, than for what he did say.”

Thank God somebody had the moral compass to address the Governor’s lifestyle.

In a public position such as his, having a live-in girlfriend does not exemplify that of an upstanding leader, nor does it set a good example for his three young daughters from his previous marriage.
