R.I.P. Rodney King, Dead at 47

Gossip website TMZ.com is reporting Rodney King has died at age 47.

According to TMZ sources, King’s fiancée found him dead at the bottom of a pool Sunday morning. He was pronounced dead at 6:11 AM.

Law enforcement sources say Rialto PD will open a drowning investigation, but so far there are no signs of foul play.

The acquittal of four LAPD officers accused in the videotaped beating of King sparked the 1992 Los Angeles riots that left 53 dead and thousands more injured. 4,000 National Guardsmen were called out to help put an end to 6 days of violence and looting.

King, who had past convictions for assault, battery and robbery, made an impassioned plea to rioters, included his now famous quote: “Can’t we all just get along?”

In 2009 King was awarded $3.8 in a settlement for violating his civil rights. He became engaged to one of the jurors who awarded him the money. In 2007 King was shot multiple times in the face, arms, back and torso during a domestic dispute.

King recently released and wrote a book entitled “The Riot Within” and discussed the anniversary of the “LA Riots” when he appeared on PoliticsNation just a month ago.

“Chris Brown and Drake fight over Rihanna at a Club”…Seriously??

It’s obvious that money and fame can’t buy you class.

A beef over platinum-selling singer Rihanna sparked a bloody, bottle-throwing melee between her ex-boyfriends Chris Brown and Drake in a Manhattan nightclub, police sources said. The pre-dawn brawl, involving the two chart-topping stars and their posses, left Brown sporting a nasty gash on his chin around 4 a.m.

Thursday inside crowded Club W.I.P. in SoHo, Brown reportedly took a bottle and a punch to his face from Drake near the end of the birthday celebration for Javon Smith, manager of singer/songwriter Ne-Yo. The violence started with a gesture of good will, as the often-volatile Brown sent a bottle of champagne to hip-hop star Drake’s table, police sources said. The rapper had the bubbly returned to Brown with a note reading, “I’m still fucking Rihanna” — and all hell broke loose, the sources said.

Drake’s 15-member entourage, a dozen pals and three security officers peeled off their shirts as the fighting kicked into gear, a witness told police. Bottles and ice flew through the air as the crowd ducked and ran for cover.

Drake had arrived only 45 minutes before the throw down started, another witness told the Daily News. The mood shifted after Drake walked in like “a thug vibe,” according to the witness. Prior to that, the 23-year-old Brown was “low-key, keeping to himself, partying, dancing,” the witness said.

Stars including Mary J. Blige, Maxwell, fabulous and hoops star Tony Parker were among those at the bash earlier in the evening.

Brown and Rihanna were reportedly reheating their romance in recent weeks. Drake dated the sultry singer after Brown left her bloodied and bruised in a 2009 attack.

Brown remains on probation for the beating, and was ordered to undergo a year of counseling for his violent behavior.

A statement from Brown’s rep insisted the R&B singer was an innocent victim who is cooperating with the NYPD investigation.

“Chris and his friends were victims of a brutal attack last night at W.I.P.,” the statement said. “They sustained several injuries.” Brown was clocked with a bottle and punched in the face by Drake to ignite the brawl, according to the web site GlobalGrind.com. The report included a photo (pictured here) of the trashed night club with broken glass strewn across the floor.

Brown posted a picture of his gashed chin on Twitter accompanied by a series of insults directed at Drake and his crew. “How u party wit a rich nigger that hate?” Brown wrote. “Lol … Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!”

In another, he mocked Drake’s crew for “hiding in the bathroom” and standing “behind security.” The photo and tweets were later removed.

Petty and definetly tacky as rappers/dancers and/or entertainers.

George Zimmerman’s Wife was Arrested but bonded out of jail…

According to NBC News, the wife of George Zimmerman, the man who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, has been arrested.

Shellie Zimmerman was arrested today and charged with one count of perjury for lying under oath about her husband’s finances. She quickly bonded out of jail.

In a bond hearing on April 20, Shellie Zimmerman told the judge she had no idea how much money Zimmerman’s private website had collected. In fact, she transferred at least $155,000 to her own personal account 3 days before the hearing.

In his written order revoking George Zimmerman’s bond on June 1, Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester wrote:

“It is apparent that [Shellie] Zimmerman testified untruthfully at the bond hearing. The Defendant also testified, but did not alert the Court to the misinformation.”

“Had the Court been made aware of the true financial circumstances at the bond hearing, the bond decision might have been different.”

Lester added: “Most importantly, though, is the fact that he has now demonstrated that he does not properly respect the law or the integrity of the judicial process,” Lester wrote.

Zimmerman turned himself in on June 3rd. His new bond hearing is set for June 29.

MegaChurch Pastor, Creflo Dollar was arrested last night!

Pastor Dollar was arrested in Fayette County Georgia last night on a simple battery charge…

A CBS news team learned that Dollar was booked into the county jail at 2 a.m. A judge set Dollar’s bond at $5,000 during a morning hearing.

“I just love my kid. Love ‘em. Same problem every parent’s going through,” Dollar said as he was leaving jail Friday morning.

Police have not released any details on the victim or the circumstances of the arrest. But according to a police report, Dollar’s daughter called police to say that her father attacked her after they argued about whether the daughter could attend a party.

The report says Dollar choked his daughter, then threw her to the ground, punched her and hit her with his shoe. The responding officer noticed a scratch on the daughter’s neck near her throat; the daughter said her father gave her the scratch during the fight.

When police interviewed Dollar, he said he tried to restrain his daughter when she “became very disrespectful” after he told her she couldn’t go to the party, according to the report. Dollar admitted to spanking his daughter and wrestling her to the floor, but said it was because she hit him.

Pastor Dollar posted bond this morning.
