“Stand Your Ground”… is this law racially motivated? Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Many states have enacted “stand your ground” laws that remove the duty to retreat before using deadly force in self-defense.

A substantial minority of states have laws imposing a duty to retreat, with some important variations. In general, a duty to retreat means that you are not allowed to resort to deadly force in self-defense if it is possible to safely avoid the risk of harm or death (by running away, for example). If that is not an option and you were cornered or pinned down and facing serious harm, then you could be authorized to use deadly force in self-defense.

This was George Zimmerman’s claim in the Trayvon Martin case, he created a fabricated LIE to justify him using deadly force in killing the unarmed teen. This made the “Stand Your Ground” law a central part of the Trayvon Martin controversy. Zimmerman claimed Trayvon Martin pinned him down to the ground, while pounding his head on the pavement, leaving him no other option but to use his weapon in self-defense.

renisha-mcbride-540x668And the recent case of Renisha McBride, 19, (pictured here), the young woman who was shot in the face when she knocked on a door in Dearborn Heights, Mich., at 2:30 a.m. in the morning seeking help after wrecking her car in the early morning hours of Nov. 2.

Civil rights groups have said the killing of McBride, who is black, is an example of racial profiling. They have said the circumstances surrounding her death are similar to the murder of Trayvon Martin.

There are 24 states that have stand your ground laws. 24. That is almost half of all states, and that’s frightening. Additionally, the majority of victims in Florida “Stand Your Ground” cases  have been white.

Alec Baldwin is a liar!! Accusing friend of cheating with his alleged mistress turned stalker Genevieve Sabourin

Alec Baldwin lied on a woman (his down low mistress) by filing charges against her as his alleged stalker, all because he was sleeping with her at the same time he proposed to another woman who is now his wife.

The actor’s claim that he never had sex with the French-Canadian actress accused of stalking him was called a liar on Tuesday by his supposed friend, “Scarface” producer Martin Bregman. Baldwin claims the French-Canadian actress Genevieve Sabourin, was actually Bregman’s mistress however, Bergman paints another picture altogether.

“He’s lying,” Bregman told the Daily News after the first day of Genevieve Sabourin’s sensational trial wrapped.

“He was screwing two women at the same time. One of them is his present wife and the other one, I presume, he was doing the girl in question.” “To sidestep any involvement with (Sabourin), he made up a report of stalking,” said Bregman, who called the move “pretty stupid.”

Bregman was referring to Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria, and the alleged stalker.

Baldwin, who got teary-eyed on the stand as he denied seducing Sabourin, insisted she had been Bregman’s longtime mistress. He testified that Bregman introduced her to him in 2002 at a lunch in Montreal.

Bregman laughed at the notion of “having an affair with a woman that’s considerably younger” and said they noshed with another woman.

“I’m 87 years old and that’s very flattering, but that’s all it is,” he told The News.

Bregman’s takedown of Baldwin came after Sabourin turned day one of her trial into a circus by heckling the actor while he testified and going after Hilaria as well. Sabourin yelled out of turn in the courtroom by consistently calling Baldwin a LIAR!

Apparently Baldwin was screwing Sabourin and his current wife Hilaria at the same time. It will be just a matter of time before he cheats on Hilaria if he isn’t already.

John “Junior” Gotti, former Gambino crime family boss walked into a Long Island hospital clutching his bleeding gut Sunday night and calmly asked stunned staffers for a doctor, officials said.

Syosset Hospital employees called Nassau County police at 9:45 p.m. after the former mob star claimed he got stabbed in the stomach after breaking up a fight between strangers in the parking lot of a CVS pharmacy, DA sources said.

But the son of late “Dapper Don” John Gotti quickly clammed up when Nassau County cops interviewed him at the hospital and became politely “uncooperative” sources said.

“He didn’t say anything to us so there was really no lead to track down at that point,” a police source said.

Authorities are privately suspicious of the Good Samaritan story, sources said.

The Nassau district attorney is investigating the stabbing and plans to speak to CVS employees and to check for any surveillance footage of the purported melee.

A source said that Gotti is under no obligation to cough up information about the details of the incident but that a prosecution can still pursue the incident without his assistance.

Gotti’s injuries were not life-threatening and he was released Monday, sources said.

Bride Mimics Gruesome Wedding Cake

Natalie Siderserf of Sideserf Cake Studio in Austin, Texas, designed the cake for her upcoming marriage to her fiancé, Dave. She said the female severed head depicts her, while the male head depicts Dave.

“We were watching a horror movie, and I was always interested in sculpting lifelike cakes, especially in the face, so I thought, ‘How neat would it be if I did our severed heads?’” Sideserf said. “And Dave was like, ‘That would be amazing.’”

She said the rainbow confetti vanilla-flavored cakes in pools of blood took around 40 hours to make. The lifelike heads were finished with vanilla butter cream frosting and chocolate.

The heads were served on a white board. Their dead eyes seemingly staring at the words ‘Till Death Do Us Part’.

Talk about extreme, this takes the cake!!
