Election 2020 – Is it Over or No? Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

THE ELECTION was last Tuesday November 3rd. Vice president Joe Biden is the projected winner with 16 electoral votes as Pennsylvania ushered him into the 46th President of these United States. Joe Biden’s supporters were dancing in the streets. But only half the nation was celebrating, and the nation’s divisions remain on stark display.

In my hood there were banging pots, honking horns, primal shouts — burst from all directions as people stood on balconies and shouted in the streets and across driveways in excitement. But not everyone was dancing. And not everyone was happy.

A record number of more than 77 million Americans had voted for Mr. Biden, the Democratic challenger, and his running mate, Kamala Harris, the first woman elected as vice president. Also true was that more than 71 million others now had to grapple with the concept that their candidate — Donald J. Trump, the Republican incumbent — would most likely be branded by his own worst epithet: LOSER. And the only hope being offered by their leader (President Trump) is a vow to challenge in the courts what he asserted, without evidence, was a fraudulent election.

So for some, the election is over but for in denial, it’s not!!!

Election 2020-The lesser of two evils, R-U Ready? Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Election 2020 is just 5 days away and with so much happening in the country, this election is pivotal in the middle of a global pandemic. Over a half million Americans have already cast their vote in a race that’s been pitted between a divide in parties. One party rolling in denial of this global pandemic, while others are living it according to the CDC guidelines religiously

The president continues to stoop to new lows to undermine the American people concerning this election, from voter fraud to mail-in voting fraud, to we’re turning the corner of this pandemic to creating scandals and narratives with no factual evidence. The stakes are high and the drama is real.

The electoral system has long been broken. And while voting for the lesser of two evils is a necessary act in this election process, of greater importance is the need to rethink and reshape the societal structures that force us to make such an offensive decision in the first place.

“To Mask -or- Not to Mask” on Tonight’s “Conversations Of A Sistah”

With conflicting messages coming from the President of the current administration, this is one conversation that needs to be had, and we’re going “Live” with it tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST on “Conversations Of A Sistah“.

To mask or not to mask is a query that has no easy answers as we sit huddled in our homes, waiting for the COVID-19 curve to bend. Just how that vital graph will begin to show progress in the U.S. is unclear. Some say Americans can and should do more, and the viability of mask usage is a hot topic because you have the president of the United States in denial regarding this pandemic! He has undoubtedly made this a political topic and divide.

Wearing a mask is mandated in Democratic states however optional in Republican states. It’s a petty and pathetic as lives are lost and the United States have surpassed other countries with a high infection rate.

“This Country was built on racism” Tonight on this weeks Conversation Of A Sistah

In October 1921, President Warren G. Harding, condemned lynchings—illegal hangings committed primarily by white supremacists against African Americans in the Deep South. A progressive Republican president who advocated full civil rights for African Americans and suffrage for women. He supported the Dyer Anti-lynching Bill in 1920.

The 1920s was a period of intense racism in the American South, characterized by frequent lynchings. In fact, the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) reported that, in 1920, lynching claimed, on average, the lives of two African Americans every week.

This country was built on racism but since the death of George Floyd, public & political leaders have been focused on the civil disturbances across our country.
