Modestly Dressed? -or- Looking a Hot Mess?! Tonite on “Conversations Of A Sisah”

Half_naked

What is considered modestly dressed in today’s society? What is going on with some of the outrageous outfits we see men and woman wearing today in what is being called fashion?

I made a trip to the mall for the first time in a long time on last Friday and was shocked by some of the bold outfits I saw women dressed in…I saw way too much skin! Skin tight mini-skirts, low-cut dresses, cut out t-shirts, painted on jeans, plunging necklines, low-rise pants, see-through clothing, skimpy tops, tacky formal wear and the list goes on.

You have men dressing like women with their jeans worn down and hanging off of their buttocks, sleeveless tees, unlaced sneakers and tight jeans. And for the record anything tight on a man is never a good look and this includes white shoes or a white coat.

It seems as though some individuals both men and women are attempting to live out their fantasies by dressing like those examples seen through some of these famous entertainers, while not being creative with modest and decent styles of their own. If sex sales for attention, they’re all for it and I think it’s a disgrace!

Join me tonight at 8:00 PM on “Conversations Of A Sistah” on “Conversations Live” as I discuss such issues. In the meantime email your questions to the show at conversations@optonline.net

Are You in a relationship with the WRONG man? Tonite on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Wrong_relationship

As I continue to celebrate women this Women’s History month, we will explore the types of relationships women seek to succeed.

Our relationships are very important to us and we jump through hoops and do all that we can to make these personal relationships work. But do these relationships work when we’re making the effort to succeed with them on our own?

Some women are attracted to bad boys; they may be alcoholics, married men, or men with an attitude. I believe some women like these elements of danger in their relationships, thinking they’re the one woman who will make a difference in that man’s life. They will be the one who will make him faithful. They will be the one who gets him sober or they will be the one to change him. That kind of thinking may be dangerous, when in all actuality ladies, YOU CANNOT CHANGE A MAN!!!!!

Women are smart, some women even successful; but are making all the wrong choices when it comes to choosing a man. Are you in a relationship with the right man? Are these many theories correct? That smart women are almost magnetically drawn to the wrong men?

Tune in Wednesday March 20, 2013 on “Conversations Of A Sistah” on “Conversations Live” as I discuss with my guest, Motivational Speaker, Author and Relationship Expert, ILinda Reese  as to why “Smart Women are making Wrong choices” in relationships!

IlindaReese_rodneybrownfx3.5x5Ilinda Reese (pictured here) is the Author of two Books on Relationships. As a Relationship Coach Ilinda teaches how to navigate the sometimes bumpy road of managing marriage, friends, family and work related relationships. We will explore with my guest why women are making all the wrong choices in their relationships.

“Loving Your Bodies” as it is…tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Dr.Clark_COS

Ladies, as we are in the midst of celebrating the history of woman this month, we must deal with the downside of being a woman. Many of us have hidden insecurities and annoying little dislikes about ourselves. Some of us diet endlessly, while considering different surgeries to alter our body images and appearances, instead of loving ourselves as we are.

Wednesday on “Conversations Of A Sistah“, my guest is Dr. Felicia Clark, life coach, author and former Plus-Size Cover Model, who is the nation’s leading scholar on Body Terrorism. Dr. Clark  will discuss with me the big business of low self-esteem and talk about how advertisers use science and emotional manipulation to make us feel inadequate. Dr. Clark believes many of our social problems as a Community are attributable to this type of persuasion.

Join me Wednesday at 8:00 PM on “Conversations Of A Sistah” on “Conversations Live” as I discuss “Loving your bodies as it is” with the fabulous Dr. Felicia Clark.

As usual, we invite you to send your questions or comments for Dr. Clark to the show @conversations@optonline.net

You can access the show at any of “Conversations Links” in this post.

As usual I’m hoping to meet you all on the air.

Woman preaching with her breast exposed

My business administrator saw this video posted on my Facebook page yesterday and forwarded it to me for my opinion and response.

First of all, the woman in the video is being called a preacher but her title can’t be officially established, anyone can preach the Word of God and the devil knows scripture better than the best preachers. The Bible says to “try the Spirit and know whether it be of God” 1 John: 4:1.

In order to deliver anyone lost, you must first speak the Word of truth and she is indeed speaking truth, watered down with a bunch of Amen’s however, her breast are inappropriately exposed. The Bible states; for women to dress modestly that means, in a proper, well-mannered fashion—certainly not in a provocative, outlandish or excessive way. This woman in the video is clearly out-of-place, which probably explains why she’s sitting in somebody’s kitchen and not standing in the platform of a church or institution.

She calls her ministry, “the gospel from a stripper’s pole”

Her message is: “A Forked Tongue” deliver me from these back door preachers!
