“She Filed For A Divorce – So Who Cheated?”

The news broke yesterday that Eva Longoria filed for divorce from her husband of three years, San Antonio Spurs, Tony Parker.

I remember their wedding like it happened yesterday, Longoria, 35, married the 28-year-old French athlete in a lavish Parisian ceremony in July 2007. Their wedding, with all the media buzz was the most talked about event of that season.

As more details emerge about the sudden divorce, media speculation is asking this question: Who’s the other woman?

Parker was reportedly going behind his wife’s back, with the wife of a former teammate; all were reportedly good friends but now both couples are seeking a divorce.

Longoria caught her husband exchanging hundreds of incriminating text messages with another woman and the ther woman is supoosedly Erin Barry, wife of his former teammate Brent Barry (the couple is pictured with Parker and Longoria above).

While the inappropriate texts have rocked two marriages, a media source said, the relationship between Parker and Erin never got physical, and that it never went past “just texting.”

Either way, Longoria filing for a divorce is justified because emotional infedility in a marraige/relationship is just as damaging.

“Prince William Gave Fiancee Diana’s Ring”

Today, Prince Williams and his fiancée Kate Middleton made their first official appearance together since announcing their engagement.

When he popped the question, Prince William gave Kate the same engagement ring that his father, Prince Charles, gave to his deceased mother, Princess Diana.

Prince Charles paid $65,000 for it when he married Princess Diana in 1981.

“It is very special to me,” William told the press at St. James’ Palace today. “It was my way to make sure my mother did not miss out on today and the excitement that we are going to spend the rest of our lives together.

‘The timing is right now, we are both very, very happy.”

This is not the same storybook romance that occurred between Princess Diana and Prince Charles. William and Kate’s 8-year relationship hasn’t exactly been Camelot. The couple split up at least half a dozen times over the last 8 years.

It seems like a foolish choice to give an unpredictable woman a precious piece of jewelry that holds such historic significance. Especially since it once belonged to his dearly departed mother.

What if Kate decides to break up with him again and refuses to give back the ring? Then what?

“GUILTY on 13 Counts”

Rep. Charles Rangel, once one of the most influential House members, was convicted today on 11 counts of breaking ethics rules and now faces punishment.

The 20-term New York Democrat, was charged with 13 counts of financial and fundraising misconduct.

The conviction also was another setback for Democrats who lost control of the House to the GOP in the midterm elections.

Rangel, a founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus, is not expected to resign. He is 80 years old and remains a dominant political figure in New York’s famed Harlem neighborhood.

He was also found guilty of failing to disclose at least $600,000 in assets and income in a series of inaccurate reports to Congress; using a rent-subsidized New York apartment for a campaign office, when it was designated for residential use; and failure to report to the IRS rental income from a housing unit in a Dominican Republic resort.

The full ethics committee will now conduct a hearing on the appropriate punishment for Rangel.

“He Hasn’t Stepped Down Although It Looks”

That way…

Although Bishop Eddie Long said he will not step down or step aside while he fights allegations of sexual misconduct brought on by several young men from his church however, it looks like that’s exactly what he’s done.

For the last couple of Sunday’s now, there have been guest preachers at New Birth Missionary Baptist church, Bishop has been present but explained to his congregation how he needs to spend more time with his family and that “God wanted him to rest and be refreshed. He added that, from time to time the congregations would see him sitting on the side so he could hear “what God is saying and so I don’t miss anything.”

The Bishop’s absence was also a tell- tell sign at “Stand” this year. Stand is an annual church meeting which is held yearly at the Georgia Dome and it draws a crowd 30,000 to 40,000 of the faithful each year.

Although Long has supported Stand from its inception, this year he was a no-show.

Deep down inside, I think he’s embarrassed.
