“7” nooses found in Mississippi Capital just one day before Senate runoff between black Democrat and GOP incumbent who joked about lynchings

Nooses are showing up more in hate incidents throughout the United States. Nooses were discovered in the past week at two museums in the nation’s capital, including the new African-American history museum. Nooses were found hanging from trees at the state Capitol in Jackson, Mississippi on Monday. They are “hate signs,” but the content appears to be that of political nature.

The hangman’s noose has come to be one of the most powerful visual symbols directed against African American people and evokes racial history, hatred and bigotry. Its origins are connected to the history of lynching in America, particularly in the South after the Civil War, when violence or threats of violence replaced slavery as one of the main forms of social control that white people used against African American people. The surge in recent incidents is disturbing and reflects a general increase of hate symbols.

The noose is used as a form of intimidation and It is illegal to display a noose in a threatening manner in Virginia, New York and Connecticut. But what about Mississippi?

Currently, Mississippi is in the middle of a runoff in the midterm elections for the Senate race and Republican Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith thought she would win by a landslide.

So today in the state of Mississippi voters will decide between Hyde-Smith and Democrat Mike Espy, who, if elected, would be the state’s first black senator since Reconstruction.

President Donald Trump, anxious to finish out the 2018 campaign season with a Republican victory, urged voters to turn out for Hyde-Smith in a tweet Tuesday. However, when video emerged online of Hyde-Smith telling supporters earlier this month that she’d be “on the front row” if one of her supporters there “invited me to a public hanging.” brought memories of Mississippi’s history of lynchings to the forefront and put the contest under the national microscope.

Hyde-Smith later called the comments an “exaggerated expression of regard,” but her use of the phrase “public hanging” is the same ignited rhetoric invoking hate crimes and incidents throughout this country.

The state is polarized along racial lines, with most white voters backing Republicans and nearly all black voters supporting Democrats. Democrats hope Hyde-Smith’s comments will lead to a surge in black turnout and propel them to victory.
Bishop Eddie Long, Jamal- Harrison Bryant

Men Hide Your Women! Pastor Jamal Bryant is Headed to NBMBC in Atlanta!!!

Embattled prosperity preacher Jamal Bryant is heading to Atlanta. Bryant has accepted an offer to become senior pastor at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, outside of Atlanta.

Bryant, the controversial pastor at the Empowerment Temple AME Church in Baltimore, MD., will take over as spiritual leader at New Birth in Lithonia, Georgia. The megachurch, which boasts 10,000 members, was founded by Bishop Eddie Long who died from an aggressive form of cancer in 2017.

A former NAACP youth director, Bryant, 47, was a civil rights leader in Baltimore. He led protests after the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Florida.

But Bryant’s personal life has been the source of rampant gossip and blog fodder for years.

Bryant was shamed publicly in 2016 after he allegedly fathered a baby with a member of his flock.

LaToya Odom claims Bryant is the father of her son. Odom says she was pressured to abort the beautiful baby boy, whom Bryant refused to see.

At the time, Bryant was still married to reality TV star Gizelle Bryant, one of the stars of Real Housewives of Potomac. The Bryants share 3 daughters.

Bryant was also accused of fathering a child with a 17-year-old woman while married to Gizelle.

In her divorce filing, Gizelle accused the randy pastor of adultery, cruelty, and “excessive vicious conduct” that caused “unreasonable apprehension of bodily suffering so as to render cohabitation unsafe,” according to an article in The Sun newspaper.

Bryant was also widely criticized for his flashy materialistic lifestyle, which included a Bentley and a multi-million-dollar Canton waterfront property.

Bryant later admitted his infidelity and begged his congregation for forgiveness.

He told congregants during his three sermons on Sunday that he is leaving for a new position in Atlanta.

He will preach his final sermon at the Empowerment Temple on Dec. 2.

Science Proves Women Find Men with Beards More Attractive

If you’re a clean-shaven man who has a difficult time finding women to date, you are not alone. A new study proves most women find men with beards more attractive.

The new study published in the Journal of Evolution Biology, asked more than 8,500 women to rate men on their attractiveness as a long-term partner.

A majority of the women rated men as follows:

    • 1. Heavy stubble
    • 2. Full beards
    • 3. Light stubble
            4. Clean-shaven

“Beards may be more attractive to women when considering long-term than short-term relationships as they indicate a male’s ability to successfully compete socially with other males for resources,”the study concluded.

The researchers said beards are associated with a man’s age (wisdom) and masculine social dominance (virility).

Beards have evolved over the last 2,000 years. Even as far back as the Stone Age, beards gave men an advantage with women.

Men with thicker, longer beards were considered sexier because Testosterone (the male sex hormone) stimulates hair follicles to speed beard growth. Women saw beards as symbols of virility and strength (think Samson).

Men with clean-shaven baby faces were not seen as manly, even though there is no scientific evidence that beards equal manliness or virility.

Question: Do you prefer men with beards or clean-shaven?

“The Biggest threat in this country are white men” on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

CNN’s Don Lemon said it just a couple of weeks ago, that the “biggest terror threat in this country are white men” and Thursday morning in CA a 28 year-old ex-marine vet walked into a bar and grill on country music night and killed twenty eight individuals, some of whom were college students.

Lemon went on to say the “evidence is overwhelming” and that the statement is true”. So we’re going to put emotions aside and look at the cold hard facts on “Conversations Of A Sistah“.

Lemon went on to say “We don’t need to worry about people who are thousands of miles away. The biggest threats are homegrown. The facts prove that.” and “yes” unfortunately it does.

Are Women Still making list of their expectations in a Man? Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Are Women still making list of the type of men they want to marry?

A man who is charming, sexy, kind, sensitive, excellent qualities, great sense of humor, a 7 figure salary, compassionate, tall, dark, handsome, no kids, no drama, etc., etc. and some women can go on and on especially when they’re asked to describe what they’re looking for in a significant other.

Some women desire to marry a man who has it all according to their list but is this list an unrealistic expectation?

Superficial, impractical or absurd, are women destined to remain single having these types of list and hopes for reality?

Join us at 6:30 p.m. EST on “Conversations Of A Sistah” with our host Ms. Tracy L. Bell for her commentary on the question: Are Women still making list of the type of men they want to marry?
