Donald Sterling, Racial Slurs, Racist, Racist remarks

Is Clippers owner, Donald Sterling really racist?

The Los Angeles Clippers have addressed the racist remarks attributed to owner Donald Sterling.

TMZ released on Friday night a taped conversation allegedly between Sterling and his girlfriend V. Stiviano, 38 (pictured above), in which Sterling asks Stiviano not to publicize her friendship with African Americans.

“It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with black people,” a man identified as Sterling says on the tape in reaction to Stiviano posting a photo on Instagram with Lakers legend Magic Johnson. “You can sleep with (black people). You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it … and not to bring them to my games.”

The Clippers team said in a statement that the woman on the tape is “the defendant in a lawsuit brought by the Sterling family alleging that she embezzled more than $1.8 million, who told Mr. Sterling that she would ‘get even.’”

“Mr. Sterling is emphatic that what is reflected on that recording is not consistent with, nor does it reflect his views, beliefs or feelings,” the statement says.

“It is the antithesis of who he is, what he believes and how he has lived his life. He feels terrible that such sentiments are being attributed to him and apologizes to anyone who might have been hurt by them. He is also upset and apologizes for sentiments attributed to him about Earvin Johnson. He has long considered Magic a friend and has only the utmost respect and admiration for him — both in terms of who he is and what he has achieved. We are investigating this matter.”

This matter has garnered reaction from Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Snoop Dog and a whole host of others. Johnson tweeted that he will never attend a Clippers game again as long as Donald Sterling is the owner.

“I feel sorry for my friends Coach Doc Rivers and Chris Paul that they have to work for a man that feels that way about African Americans,” he wrote. “LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s comments about African Americans are a black eye for the NBA.”

Former NBA player Charles Barkley called for Sterling to be suspended and fined immediately.

Sterling was reportedly supposed to receive a lifetime achievement award at the Los Angeles NAACP’s 100th anniversary event on May 15.

Brown v. Board of Education, Kansas, Kansas HS Graduation, Michelle Obama, Racist

They Don’t want Michelle Obama to speak at their graduation!

Michelle Obama Gives Speech At Bowie State University Commencement

Mrs. Obama was hoping to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision, which struck down segregation in schools. And what better way to honor the anniversary of integrated schools than telling the nation’s first black first lady you don’t want her to speak at your high school graduation?

That’s’ what the parents and students did at a high school in Topeka, Kansas. The parents and students went so far as to circulate a petition asking the school administration to reconsider having the first lady speak. So far, over 1,700 people have signed this petition.

The reason being, the parents feel the first lady will outshine their students on their special day, I say it’s racism what do you think?

What does “The Resurrection” mean to you? Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

easter-sunday-jesus_1395538172

Resurrection Sunday 2014 was celebrated on April 20, 2014.

The Easter message begins with the hopeful news that death has been overcome by life, that hatred has been overcome by love, and that sorrow has been overcome by joy. Some cities in the US stage the passion of Jesus Christ through plays and holds Easter parades as well.

However, Easter Sunday has many different meanings for some and by the worlds terms, it’s a celebration of chocolate Easter bunnies, Easter baskets and Easter egg hunts. These are fun activities for children but are parents teaching their children the truth about the true meaning of Easter Sunday?

In all actuality Resurrection Sunday has absolutely nothing to do with the Easter bunny, baskets, candies or the eggs.

My question to you…What does “The Resurrection” mean to you? Regardless of your theory, I will tell you the TRUE meaning of Easter Sunday tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah” via “Conversations Live“.

Divorce, Drama, Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey’s Stepmother tells all in bombshell interview!!

article-2607910-1D065F7B00000578-107_634x711

Barbara Winfrey was married to Oprah Winfrey’s father, Vernon Winfrey for 14 years and after 14 years of marriage and Vernon cheating on Barbara with a known prostitute name “one tooth” the couple both filed for divorce. Unbeknownst to Barbara, Vernon complained to Oprah and Stedman how he was unhappy in his marriage.

Now Barbara is telling all in the media of how Oprah never like her; dealt with her from a distance, Oprah’s loveless relationship with Stedman Graham, her controlling and unhealthy friendship with best friend Gayle King and how Oprah’s brand is caring, giving and compassion, while she is privately; the complete opposite. Barbara states that all of Oprah’s relationships are secured with Confidentiality Agreements, based on Oprah’s terms of control.

Barbara’s gripe is, she’s now being evicted from the home she shared with Vernon Winfrey although Vernon moved out of the home before filing for divorce and Oprah’s name is on the deed to the home because it was gifted to Barbara and Oprah’s father after they married. The home Barbara shared with Vernon was purchased by Oprah’s Company, Overground Railroad LLC. So in all actuality, it was a gift in the meantime and as long as Barbara and Oprah’s father Vernon, remained husband and wife.

Evicted_Barbara

Oprah has since purchased another home for her father and has evicted Barbara (pictured here), giving her until May 29th to vacate the premises. Barbara is devastated because this was a home she thought was theirs.

It’s a real sob story on Barbara’s part however, Oprah is a business woman by right and a billionaire by design and I don’t blame her one bit for protecting every aspect of her relationships because where money is involved everyone has a motive.

This “SELFIE ADDICTION” Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

The 15 Types of Selfies

Tracy_Selfie_April 16Seems as though everybody is into themselves these days and this addicting craze of taking “Online selfies“. You can’t scroll through Facebook or Instagram in peace, without seeing pictures of your friends, followers and/or associates standing in front of a bathroom mirror posing in front of their hand-held smartphones.

<<— My selfie per Dr. Rutledge’s advisement on tonight’s show

And what really gets me are the “POKED OUT LIPS” the dark rim poindexter reading glasses worn by some and the never-ending peace signs, that’s making them feel sexy or even somewhat cool. However, a Selfie addiction is similar to other addictions that humans experience. So the question is…is it healthy?

Dr. Pamela Rutledge, Director of the Media Psychology Research Center consults on this issue and has said…

“The desire to take, post and get “likes” on selfies goes back to a biological behavior all humans are wired for. “I think it influences our sense of social connection in the same way as it does when you go to a party and people say ‘Oh I love your dress'”

Rutledge Headshot 300 dpiRutledge told The Huffington Post recently. “Biological and social validation is a real need and there is even an area of the brain that is dedicated to social activity.”

Join me tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah” via “Conversations Live” as Dr. Pamela Rutledge, (pictured left) author of Selfie Empowerment and co-author of The Science of Audience Engagement will be my special guest. Dr. Rutledge is a leading expert on social behaviors and trends in media, technology use and development.
